Bob Bertrand of Florida is a well known judicial reform advocate. The Florida Bar ran into Bob Bertrand and didn't fare so well. Lawyers should not legislate. Judges should be accountable for their actions. We the people should have representative government. We should not be under siege in our own homes.

Police should not be furthering the gains of drug dealers, prostitutes, organized crime, to further public corruption. Citizens who get in the way of police organized crime should not have their marriages broken up, to lose their home, investment properties, small business, and the sum total of their life's work to be railroaded to prison.

I know all about that from my personal experiences of getting in the way of Connecticut State Police organized crime, prostitution, vandalism, revenue collection, asset confiscation, and retaliation against "Big Mouth" citizens in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. [That story with my mugshot]

A Hartford Connecticut Narcotics Detective, Rich Murzin, allegedly arrested a Mafia cocaine and heroin trafficker against his Hartford PD Captain's wishes. So, Rich was felony arrested for the gas he used taking his allowed time for lunch, a common, okay practice. His two sons were kidnapped from his home, brought to Connecticut State Police Troop K HQ and beaten up. Ian, was allegedly choked out, choked to death by the Connecticut State Police, and then revived. Stephen Murzin, a US Marine, home on leave, was allegedly target for death by the Connecticut State Police after being arrested for reporting police misconduct.

One police informant got cold feat after being given $10,000 cash to kill Stephen Murzin. That ended up on the news in the State of Connecticut. Clip available in link, just below. A 2nd Murder-for-Hire Police Informant, a felon on probation, stabbed Stephen Murzin 13 times along with stabbing 2 other people. A Connecticut judge found no reason for violating the felon who attempted to murder Stephen Murzin. Steve Murzin was arrested in the hospital when he woke up handcuffed for causing a disturbance while being stabbed. He faced 6 months in prison for "this offense". Rich Murzin has passed away, never seeing justice for his family.

ACTA, Obama, and International Protest

The NDAA means any American can have their citizenship stripped. The international corporation and banker run US Government and military can now take out any American on a secret enemies list. Official kidnapping, torture, indefinite confinement, rape, and murder of citizens who believe in Free Speech and a representative government can be eliminated, and harmed, without a trial. All that is supposed to be protected by the US Constitution is now null and void.

If Constitutional scholar Obama violated his oath to become US President saying he would protect and defend the Constitution, he not only should be removed from office immediately, it is also definitive proof that Barack Obama is a lying whore who should, also, be prosecuted. I would go on the road to help elect Ron Paul to US President, even though I don't agree with Paul's stance on all issues. It is do, or die. I really feel that if one of the other bozos is elected, or if Obama gets a 2nd term, my life, and that of others like me will end horrifically. So, it is do, or die, one last push, or that's it.

Ron Paul is for stopping these endless international corporate and banker wars of aggression. He wishes to address the criminality of the Federal Reserve. Paul seems to be for corporate and banking regulation and restriction. These things put in place might be the only hope for America, or any "Free World", globally. I hope the Ron Paul campaign contacts me back. Or, I hope donors will fund me independently to go where I am needed to produce video, hire professional actors of all ages and descriptions, to make the public more aware in real time. We need originally produced video and music to not be put in prison for 5 years, or even decades, given the new laws that will probably pass, and which seem to be already in place.

Given the post here, will anyone take me seriously when I need donations to put forth professional looking, and presented, documentaries and independent films?

We the people of the USA pay for a top luxury car with all the bells and whistles when it comes to policing and the courts. When we pay for the absolute top shelf, what we get is an almost broken down VW bus. It will barely do the job, and it is what the international corporate and banker owned US Government is willing to get for us. They reserve the luxury car with all the bells and whistles for themselves. Dare we complain, with the NDAA, Military Detention Act, we can be secretly whisked out of our homes in the middle of the night, have our citizenship revoked with a backroom official signature, be tortured, even removed from the US to be tortured elsewhere, secretly confined, or even murdered with no official explanation, hearing, or US laws broken in doing this to citizens.

Offstage he behaved indulgently, without morals, stopping at nothing to pursue his whims and impulses. Is the US Government telling other countries it has to turn over citizens who linked on blogs to sites that may have had file sharing on them? If you link to a website, unknowingly that may have copyrighted materials on it without written permission should you be labeled a felon and serve 5, or so, years in prison? Should the US invade other countries to put their citizens in prison for the same offenses?

Why should corporations see to it citizens are punished for activities they encouraged? Why should corporations be able to bribe politicians with millions so you go to prison as a felon?

The basis of this investigation

In the following pages we will take the reader from the opium-growing mountains of the Far East's Golden Triangle, to the offices of opium wholesalers in the expatriate Chinese districts of Bangkok, Rangoon, and Singapore; we will take him through the bonded warehouses, shipping lines and air freight companies of old-line British trading companies who control the Chinese expatriate wholesalers; we will lead him through the maze of financial channels that fund the Far East's opium trade, to the august portals of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and other top British banks who control the financing topdown; we will take him across the Pacific to the ports of entry for heroin into the United States, to the skyscraper offices of the Canadian banks and corporations who finance, ship, and protect the heroin en route to the United States; and, finally, we will guide the reader down the family trees of the Canada-based Zionist financiers, to their contact-points in the world of organized crime and heroin distribution. When this is done, we will have reconstructed the Annual Report of Dope, Incorporated, including balance sheet, board of directors, senior operating officers, table of organization, and subsidiaries.

At the conclusion, the reader will know and understand more about the personnel and operations of illegal drugs — the world's biggest business since the days of opium-pusher Adam Smith — than the law enforcement authorities of the United States and other countries knew until recently. In the files of these agencies, in the minds of solitary investigators, and, to a surprising extent, in the public record itself, the pieces of the puzzle have existed for years. Fitting them together into a single picture is the task of this investigation. But the puzzle is not a jigsaw game, in which the picture is assembled by fitting the pieces together side-by-side. As a first approximation, it would be better for the reader to imagine a set of clear plastic overlays, each of which contains part of the picture; laid one on top of the other, they complete the puzzle.

The different overlays of this puzzle are these:
1) The detailed record assembled by American and other investigators of the mechanics of the opium trade from the Golden Triangle down to opium's ports of departure to the rest of the world;
2) Pinpointed identification of opium wholesalers, largely in the Chinese expatriate community, including the names of leading bankers;
3) A comprehensive profile of British finance in the Far East, revolving around the Hong Kong financial center and its leading bank, the Hongkong and Shanghai, including the web of British ties to the Chinese expatriate banking community throughout the area;
4) An exhaustive grid of the British control over means of laundering dirty money in the hundreds of billions of dollars, including "offshore" banking, gold, and diamonds;
5) A grid of the huge quantity of public record material showing the integration of British Far East and dirty money financial] operations worldwide with the top level of British foreign policy-making, centered in the Royal Institute of International Affairs;
6) The similar public record of evidence of strategic agreement between Great Britain and the Maoist People's Republic of China, going back to negotiations between British opium-runners and Mao Tse-tung, under the auspices of the Royal Institute of International Affairs;
7) Twenty years of official documentation — from American, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Soviet sources — that the People's Republic of China grows and exports opium not only to earn foreign exchange, but to fund secret intelligence operations, through Chinese expatriates;
8) A comprehensive grid of the intimate links between all these elements — British old-line opium-runners, British dirty money operations, Chinese expatriate overseas operations, British-Chinese policy agreement — with the "Canadian" connection to American organized crime;
9) The international web of the British-centered "Zionist lobby," and its special function in gold and diamond-related dirty money operations, laundering of dirty money, financing of international terrorism, and financial control of the Canada-U.S. drug channels;
10) Lastly, a gridding that demonstrates that the leading controllers of the opium war against the United States are not only connected by interlocking directorates and other business ties but by ties of "blood" that constitute this web under one family.

The resulting picture is comprehensive: the entire mass of detailed, documented evidence fits together into a single picture, stretching from the present day back through the British origins of the opium trade in the time of Adam Smith.

The subversive farmer who is changing the world

While I’ll be the first to admit that I’m given to hyperbole at times, there’s a farmer out there in America who most people have probably never heard of, but who is single-handedly changing the world. His name is Joel Salatin – a self-described Christian, libertarian, environmentalist, lunatic farmer from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

If you haven’t heard of Salatin before, I implore you to look this guy up whether you give a squawk about farming or not. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

What could possibly be so special about a nutty farmer from Virginia? Salatin considers farming a ministry of healing the land, and is devoted to the vocation with a degree of evangelical zeal that knocks your socks off.

His unconventional and even subversive views on farming – views that he puts into practice every day at Polyface Farms – are completely upending our modern understanding of food production. How’s that for hyperbole?

Salatin’s farming innovations start from a few simple insights that prove you don’t have to sacrifice the environment, the economy or human health to feed the world.

First, Salatin believes that food production requires primarily a biological approach, not a mechanical approach. That seems self-evident right? But our current industrial monoculture farming and industrial warehousing of protein (farm animals) is anything but biological. As Salatin explains, no civilization can be healthier than the life energy of the food it eats. If the food goes in lifeless – full of preservatives, antibiotics and chemicals we can’t pronounce – it has nothing left to give to create new flesh and bones.

Salatin’s innovative techniques focus on biomimicry, harnessing natural relationships between grass, herbivores, birds and insects to simulate “nature’s template”. What this means in practice is that Salatin’s focus is on periodic disturbance of grasslands through steady movement of livestock to radically increase soil fertility, a process that mimics the natural grazing habits of herbivores in the wild (think bison on the American plains).

This relationship is harnessed by moving his cows every day into new sections of pasture (paddocks) and following that movement with mobile chicken pens. The cow manure fertilizes the pasture and the chickens follow pecking through the insect-rich manure, spreading out the manure even more and improving fertilization of the pasture.

The proof as they say is in the pudding. When his father purchased the farm years ago, it was largely barren rock and degraded soil thanks to years of monoculture farming. Today, he has created rich new topsoil that now completely covers the barren rocks.

And while the warehousing of cows today in feedlots requires intensive use of antibiotics and pharmaceuticals to keep cows healthy (and ironically has created pathogens that have become more and more dangerous to humans), Salatin’s cows are given no hormones, nutritional supplements or antibiotics and remain far healthier, going through at least 10 lactation cycles on average.

Second, Salatin understands that biomass is the key to yield. As Salatin explains, “it’s not until you come to the epiphany that soil is fundamentally a biological community, not a mechanical blob will you understand anything about soil fertility”. For Salatin, soil is “a living, breathing, vibrant community so populous that in one double handful of healthy soil more individual life exists than there are people on the face of the earth.”

One of the greatest tragedies of our modern understanding of food according to Salatin is that never before in human history has food waste been dumped in anaerobic landfills where it lies in state for centuries and is not allowed to naturally decompose through composting to add fertility back to the soil. All of the pesticides and industrial fertilizers we use today in our monoculture farming could be shelved permanently with a commitment to quit landfilling the incredibly rich biomass of decaying food waste and instead let it do its job – replenish topsoil through the natural process of decomposition.

Third, Salatin says that farming is about thinking smaller and more local. Today’s massive monoculture food system is only possible because of cheap energy. Salatin is a strong believer that the era of peak oil is here and that our days of cheap energy are numbered. Consequently, so too are the days when we will be able to cost-efficiently get away with shipping produce thousands of miles from say its production in California to our tables in New York.

The solution? To go forward, we have to go backward. Back to the smaller local farms, family vegetable gardens, and locally grown food that have sustained human populations since the beginning of our time on earth.

Ideas such as his are highly subversive to industrial food conglomerates like Monsanto and Cargill who dismissively claim that such thinking is naïve – that we will never be able to feed the world’s population by thinking locally. But Salatin demonstrates otherwise.

Specifically, he tells the story of an urban farm in St. Louis – a twelfth of an acre farmed by several twenty-somethings dedicated to intensive biomass recycling and organic farming. The farm sits on reclaimed land occupied by a former rundown condominium that had become a haven for crack addicts.

The city demolished the condominium and the young urban farmers moved in. The soil was so degraded that when the urban farmers dug a posthole to hold a trellis, the hole went through garbage — discarded electrical wires, old blue jeans and teacups. Today, this tiny farm produces all of the produce to feed twenty people year-round.

Yes, there’s lots of grim news in the world today. But innovators like Salatin are opening eyes and changing the world in monumentally significant ways. If you want a reason to be wildly optimistic, imagine a future of local abundance where individual citizens and local farms once again produce the food we eat. Salatin will convince you that such a scenario is possible… And it’s coming sooner than we think.

My daughter 17, or so, years ago. She hasn't called me "Daddy" or said "I love you" since I went to prison for pepper spraying a potential mugger who demanded my wallet saying he'd kill me after he attacked me. The real reason I got prison is I interfered with police organized crime in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. [That story and pic of my mugshot]

Excerpt of lawsuit which was easiest for a judge just to throw out of court:
25- K) FALSE ARREST, NOT INVOLVING DCF: Steven G. Erickson. In the case of Steven G. Erickson, It is Plaintiff KM Dickson’s belief and knowledge that the testimony of Steven G. Erickson was truthful, in that Erickson believes that he wasn’t getting equal protection and service being a Stafford Springs downtown Connecticut landlord.

Mr. Erickson, formerly of Stafford, CT, wrote letters to the editor critical of police and Connecticut courts and wrote President Bush a letter about how the economy was hurt by downtown (Stafford) property and small business owners getting a fair shake in courts and adequate police help and service. Mr. Erickson proposed Civilian Oversight of Police to State Senator Tony Guglielmo and former State Representative Mordasky. Mordasky’s aid, “Rosemarie,” advised Erickson that Erickson should sell his property and leave Connecticut before the Connecticut State Police retaliated for the laws Erickson proposed directing police powers, and for what Mr. Erickson had written critical of police in newspapers, and for being a “Big Mouth.”

Mr. Erickson also attests that the Connecticut State Police were bragging that Mr. Erickson would be going to prison and run out of town after Erickson was attacked by Brian Caldwell on Erickson’s property when Erickson returned home from a double shift of work. Caldwell had told Erickson’s tenants Caldwell would kill Erickson when Erickson got home, and had threatened Erickson, harassed Erickson via voicemail, and beating on Erickson door after midnight, yelling that Caldwell, would cut Erickson’s penis off if Caldwell caught Erickson outside Erickson’s home.

According to Mr. Erickson, Connecticut State Troopers, Amaral and Langlais refused to take Erickson’s complaint against Erickson’s assailant who had jumped Erickson and tried to rob Erickson, nor would they take the complaint of witness Sue Johnston, nor that of Clayton Varno. Instead the police only arrested Erickson, refusing to view Erickson’s injuries, and then later committing perjury of these facts to get me convicted of overreacting to being beaten during a robbery attempt using pepper spray.

Apparently, Judge Jonathan Kaplan of Rockville Connecticut Court stated that Erickson was guilty and was going to prison before Erickson’s trial began. A videotape was shown to the jury of how to find Erickson guilty, but nothing about innocence or reasonable doubt, tainting them. (XXX, evidence #)

It is Erickson’s belief that Judge Kaplan informed Erickson’s attorney, Michael H. Agranoff (Stafford, CT), that Agranoff was not allowed to dispute police perjury, the prosecution, nor defend Erickson.

Erickson sent an email to the former Connecticut State Police Commission Arthur L. Spada in late October 2002, the day before Erickson was to be sentenced, asking Spada to remove the US Department of Justice webpage on Community Policing off the Connecticut State Police website, stating the policies were not being followed. Erickson indicated that Erickson was sending a copy of the email to the US Department of Justice.

Erickson believes the Connecticut State Police, the prosecutors, Erickson’s lawyer, and Judge Jonathan Kaplan were acting in collusion to ensure Erickson’s conviction to prevent Erickson from suing for Civil Rights violations and to keep Erickson from lodging complaints and exposing corruption within the courts and Connecticut State Police.

Erickson further asserts that Judge Jonathan Kaplan appeared to reference the email Erickson sent to Commissioner Spada at Plaintiff’s sentencing, indicating to Erickson their was illegal collusion between Judge Jonathan J. Kaplan and Connecticut State Police Officers to ensure Erickson was convicted and given the maximum penalties allowed.

Mr. Erickson was sent to an overcrowded prison and was singled out for abuse by guards referencing Erickson’s feud with the Connecticut State Police. Mr. Erickson was held in prison longer than his stated release date, wasn’t allowed to take classes in prison as further harassment, and was told that Erickson wasn’t allowed in Stafford, Connecticut upon release by LT Desso, also a Stafford town police officer.

Mr. Erickson asserts that he was told by his parole officer at the Enfield Police Station, that Erickson wasn’t allowed to make complaints against police officers, nor contact the media regarding Erickson’s case or face more prison time. These are clearly federal color of law, deprivation of rights, and violation of federally protected activities, and first amendment violations.

When Mr. Erickson was turned over to adult probation in Manchester Connecticut, Erickson was given told by Angela K. that she would violate Erickson’s probation if she received any more calls regarding Erickson and would violate Erickson’s probation if Erickson didn’t leave the State of Connecticut. Mr. Erickson was given an hour to pack and leave the State of Connecticut to avoid further persecution and fraudulent prosecution.

I contacted elected officials in Connecticut prior to 9/11. I was concerned with police promoting crack cocaine and heroin sales in Stafford Springs. Connecticut State Police had a "business" relationship with prostitutes and other criminals, allegedly. They also, allegedly, paid police informants to help in their revenue collection, asset confiscation, gun confiscation, retaliation, and take "hot girls" from their spouses or significant others, ploys.

For proposing Civilian Oversight of Police and court reform legislation to CT State Senator Anthony "Tony" Guglielmo and John A. Kissel, they turned my name into the Commissioner of the Connecticut State Police. My name was then given to officers at roll call, so I could be harassed, terrorized, set up for false arrest and prison to lose the 3 houses I owned, my contracting business, and my daughter.

Don't trust these people. They break rules, rip you off and are answerable to organized crime, banks and offshore corporate owners. Don't let them send you to camp, or kill you for free. Do more than occupy Wall St., make it count now. They want armed conflict which they''ll win. Let's give them a "Bathrobes and Slippers, Rebellion" where we just sit at home, not pay taxes, not consume, and the energy companies and pirate corporations will see the shot across their bows. If you pay taxes you are supporting Al Qaeda, a CIA program, so you are financially supporting terrorism and you can be jailed secretly indefinitely with no hearing, no records, given this new legislation. Yet another example of a TSA agent engaging in rampant criminality and believing themselves to be above the law emerged yesterday, when 52-year-old TSA worker Harold Glen Rodman allegedly approached a woman in full uniform before flashing his badge and proceeding to brutally rape and sodomize her.

"Police arrested Rodman on Nov. 20. He is charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, forcible sodomy and abduction with intent to defile," reports ABC 7 News.

"Police said the victim reported that she and a friend were in the 10500 block of Winfield Loop in Manassas when the suspect approached them. The suspect flashed a badge and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing on foot, police said."

The Transportation Security Administration confirmed that Rodman worked for the agency but refused to say where or in what capacity.

As we have documented, this certainly not the first time a TSA agent has abused their position of authority to wantonly break the law.

Earlier this year, a TSA agent in Connecticut was charged with harassment after he posed as a cop by flashing his badge at a woman in an attempt to intimidate her into driving faster.

This is by no means restricted to two isolated incidents. Every week brings a new TSA horror story. Given the epidemic of harassment, criminality and abuse that TSA agents have been caught engaging in both on the job and off-duty, it's not surprising that the rollout of an army of TSA agents to provide "security" at every level of American society, from train stations to bus terminals, from highways to high school proms, is stoking concerns that the federal agency is set to become the de facto "civilian national security force" that Barack Obama promised in his pre-election speech.

There's a whole army of TSA workers who think that because they are given a shiny badge and a blue uniform that makes them above the law and allows them to engage in criminal acts and sexual deviancy. That they think they can get away with intimidating the public into following their every order, even to the point of sexual assault, underscores the mindset of a nation fast sinking into an authoritarian police state.

What kind of training must the feds be giving TSA agents to produce such a prolific streak of criminality and abuse of power? Or on the other hand is it more to do with the fact that sexual deviants and criminals are attracted to a job that allows them to fondle and abuse women and children?

Either way, such stories illustrate what an odious and reprehensible agency the TSA has become and why it should be completely abolished, especially considering the fact that these state-hired goons are now roaming bus terminals, train stations and highways. If you think you can avoid this by not flying, think again.

The fact that scandal and criminal behavior involving TSA agents continually gets swept under the carpet while the establishment media ignores the clear evidence that this is an epidemic of abuse illustrates the reality that the TSA is designed to be an occupying force whose primary role is to oppress and abuse the American people.

I find myself agreeing with a lot that Michael Moore says. So, the planets must be in misaligned. I believe there should be less pollution. I don't believe the Al Gore international pretend carbon emissions world government criminal greenhouse gases scam.

I personally don't have any firearms. I believe everyone should have that right who is not mentally ill. The US government can make anyone a criminal just for testing the 1st Amendment, or if they piss off any one in the special class- the rich and those they own in government, the police, or in the courts

I think the office of the US President is key. I like Ron Paul, but don't think he has a chance. I do think Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, Amy Goodman, Ben Afleck, or Matt Damon should run. I would drop everything to help with their campaign. I would hope that they would change what I believe their stance is on the 2nd Amendment. In today's world, there is no possible way to have a 1st Amendment if there is no 2nd. I was told that Alec Baldwin yelled my name out over the phone allegedly calling me an "A-hole" after I read a script he was to make into a movie, "Solitary Birds" back in 2006. I told a not so well known performer on Saturday Night Live who also hosted a comedy show with John Candy, that I thought the script for "Solitary Birds" sucked. Even so, Mr. Baldwin is my first choice and I would drop everything to help in his campaign.

To end on an inappropriate note, I don't feel Mr. Moore has a chance in a bid for President. A drunk patron at a Boston bar said the N-word about the election and a candidate being elected, but when Michael Moore name came up, he said "... no f'n fat man is getting elected ..."

A year in prison for pepperspraying a mugger?

I was being threatened and stalked by a felon police informant for weeks. He told my tenants he was going to kill me. He stood outside my door beating on it waking my neighbors and tenants up after midnight. He told me if he caught me outside my door he would cut my penis off. Stafford Springs, Connecticut police and State Police had refused to protect and serve me and had sent out police informants to terrorize me.

When I pepper sprayed the violent felon who jumped me in the dark, fearing I would be cut up, or killed, State Police were there to arrest only me giving their informant immunity for committing felonies for them. Without a record I got a year in prison. A man who raped a 3 year old got probation as did so many real criminals as prisons were way too crowded. I lost my family, home, rental properties, contracting business, retirement etc because I resisted being mugged on my own property.

The police who pepper sprayed protesters to be malicious are guilty of assault. They need to suffer worse than I did for being an American falsely believing the American Dream can be attained by an average citizen. There is only official organized crime, let's change that.

Posse Comitatus Act

This article is about the Posse Comitatus Act in the United States. For other uses of posse comitatus, see Posse comitatus (disambiguation).

The Posse Comitatus Act is an often misunderstood and misquoted United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction. Its intent (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) was to limit the powers of local governments and law enforcement agencies from using federal military personnel to enforce the laws of the land. Contrary to popular belief, the Act does not prohibit members of the Army from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order"; it simply requires that any orders to do so must originate with the United States Constitution or Act of Congress.

The statute only directly addresses the US Army (and is understood to equally apply to the US Air Force as a derivative of the US Army); it does not reference, and thus does not implicitly apply to nor restrict units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States. The Navy and Marine Corps are prohibited by a Department of Defense directive, not by the Act itself.^[1]^[2] The Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is exempt from the Act.

History

The Act was a response to, and subsequent prohibition of, the military occupation by U.S. Army troops of the former Confederate States during the ten years of Reconstruction (1867–1877) following the American Civil War (1861–1865). The U.S. withdrew Federal troops from Southern states as a result of a compromise in one of the most disputed national elections in American history, the 1876 U.S. presidential election. Samuel J. Tilden of New York, the Democratic candidate, defeated Republican candidate Rutherford B. Hayes of Ohio in the popular vote. Tilden garnered 184 electoral votes to Hayes' 165; 20 disputed electoral votes remained uncounted. After a bitter fight, Congress struck a deal resolving the dispute and awarding the presidency to Hayes.

In return for Southern acquiescence regarding Hayes, Republicans agreed to support the withdrawal of federal troops from the former Confederate states, ending Reconstruction. Known as the Compromise of 1877, this deal of political expediency removed federal protection for Southern ex-slaves.^[3] The U.S. Constitution places primary responsibility for the holding of elections in the hands of the individual states. The maintenance of peace, conduct of orderly elections, and prosecution of unlawful actions are all state responsibilities, pursuant to the states' primary job of exercising police power and maintaining law and order.

During the local, state, and federal elections of 1874 and 1876 in the former Confederate states, all levels of government chose not to exercise their police powers to maintain law and order.^{[citation needed]} Many acts of violence, and a suppression of the vote of some political and racial groups, resulted in the election of state legislators and U.S. congressmen who halted and reversed political reform in the American South.^[3]

When the U.S. Representatives and Senators from the former Confederate states reached Washington, they set as a priority the creation of a statute prohibiting any future President or Congress from directing, by military order or federal legislation, the imposition of federal troops in any U.S. state.

The original Posse Comitatus Act referred essentially to the United States Army. The Air Force was added in 1956 and the Navy and the Marine Corps have been included by a regulation of the Department of Defense. The United States Coast Guard is not included in the Act. (The U.S. Coast Guard was originally part of the Treasury Department, was later part of the Department of Transportation, and is now within the Department of Homeland Security.) This law is often relied upon to prevent the Department of Defense from interfering in domestic law enforcement.^[4]

Although it is a military force,^[9] the U.S. Coast Guard, which operates under the Department of Homeland Security, is not covered by the Posse Comitatus Act. The Coast Guard enforces U.S. laws, even when operating as a service for the U.S. Navy.

In December 1981, additional laws were enacted clarifying permissible military assistance to civilian law enforcement agencies and the Coast Guard, especially in combating drug smuggling into the United States. Posse Comitatus clarifications emphasize supportive and technical assistance (e.g., use of facilities, vessels, and aircraft, as well as intelligence support, technological aid, and surveillance) while generally prohibiting direct participation of Department of Defense personnel in law enforcement (e.g., search, seizure, and arrests). For example, a U.S. Navy vessel may be used to track, follow, and stop a vessel suspected of drug smuggling, but Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachments (LEDETs) aboard the Navy vessel would perform the actual boarding and, if needed, arrest the crew.^[10]

Federal military forces have a long history of domestic roles, including the occupation of sovereign Southern states during Reconstruction. The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the use of federal military forces to "execute the laws"; however, there is disagreement over whether this language may apply to troops used in an advisory, support, disaster response, or other homeland defense role, as opposed to conventional law enforcement.^[3]

On December 10, 2008, the California Highway Patrol announced its officers, along with San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies and US Marine Corps Military Police, would jointly staff some sobriety and drivers license checkpoints.^[11] However, the Marines at the checkpoints are not arresting individuals or enforcing any laws, which would be a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.^[12] A spokesperson said that the Marines were present to observe the checkpoint to learn how to conduct checkpoints on base, to help combat the problem of Marines driving under the influence. The Marines at a recent checkpoint learned techniques to conduct sobriety checkpoints and field sobriety tests.^[12]

On March 10, 2009, active duty Army military police troops from Fort Rucker were deployed to Samson, Alabama in response to a murder spree. Samson officials confirmed that the soldiers assisted in traffic control and securing the crime scene. The governor of Alabama did not request military assistance nor did President Obama authorize their deployment. Subsequent investigation found that the Posse Comitatus Act was violated and several military members received "administrative actions."^[13]^[14]

This is why I support OWS. And, yes I did post pictures of Megan Fox and a movie clip of Transformers 2, Revenge of the Fallen to make my points. They glorify torture, war, and the police state, RT America shows the real world at OWS, video.

Some people are asking me why I support OWS, and why should the public. The naysayers say that there is no cohesive demands. I say that people are proving they are not getting representation for their taxation. They are not getting satisfaction from their elected officials. We the People believe US politicians are bought and paid for by offshore corporate owners and banksters. Wall St., the US Military, and the US Government, police, and courts are just their tools. Either the 1st Amendment applies, or none of the US Constitution does.

I speak, in a broader sense, why in a video wearing a ski hat and dark glasses, with links, here. Do goons have to come to most Americans' doors before they connect the dots? I think not, we the people see we are being ripped off, wholesale. Ground Zero for the organized crime scam is Wall St. Demanding justice there only makes sense.

Don't blame Obama, don't blame George W. Bush, don't blame the Israeli leaders as they are just lame puppets, blame those who control the CIA, US Military, war corporations and contractors, the Mossad, control the US policing and rig the courts.

Those who are really running the US Government, offshore corporate owners and banksters, must really hate average Americans. The reason I say that is just look around. Complain, propose legislation, and police will send a police informant, or thug, to go beat you up on your property. You will be the only one arrested. And, you'll get prison. I did. [my beef].

Letter from Bernie Sanders to Steven G. Erickson

Vermont US Senator Bernie Sanders sent me the above response, recently. US Senator Patrick Leahy sent a similar response. They don't wish to interfere with the judicial branch from the legislative branch. The other branches are interfering with the legislative.

I had asked him to write a letter asking Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy to expunge my record and consider compensation for my losses. No money can make up for the loss of my relationship with my daughter, other family, loss of my retirement, home, credit, and the sum total of my life's work.

Police use informants to beat up citizens and then arrests citizens. It is police gang stalking. Propose Civilian Oversight of Police to legislators, complain about judicial misconduct or police brutality, or get mouthy about police and the courts in newspapers, by email, or in blogs, and you can end up a target of police, being placed on a secret police enemies arrest on sight list.

The Executive Branch is police. Police protect and serve government and are for revenue collection, property confiscation, to guard the government, for government purposes, and if police feel like serving the public it is at their own discretion. If you are here reading, I need not explain the Judicial Branch. The Judicial and Executive Branches are blatantly interfering with the branch of the people, the Legislative Branch.

So, do politicians like Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy not care if citizens are beaten up on their own property, after being stalked, having their lives threatened, to be arrested, and maybe even end up in prison?

It is police misconduct 101, to have informants terrorize, stalk, assault, set up victims for false arrest, make false statements, commit perjury, commit crimes for police, and in some cases even murder targets of police retaliation. Courts are just a rubber stamp on the abuse.

In my opinion, if elected officials do nothing about police gang stalking, we the people aren't represented for our taxation.

My hopes are that someone will forward this opednews.com diary to Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy. Former Governors John G. Rowland and M. Jodi Rell were too corrupt to remedy citizen abuse as they were part of public corruption, nepotism, and furthering the agendas of organized crime.

They weren't interested in information about armed drug dealer Kenny Mears (sp.?) who raped a 14 year old at underage drug alcohol party. They weren't interest in knowing the names of the "Diaper Gang", or Stevie Carver who used a baseball bat to almost beat a man to death, Richie Dessert, while robbing him. The Diaper Gang were young hoodlums who would use baseball bats to rob people over months of time, maybe years, in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Police has a "relationship" with these hoods and were out to ruin, falsely arrest, and imprison mouthy, honest, home owning taxpayers like me. State Senator Anthony "Tony" Guglielmo knew all about this and didn't lift a finger to help me, before or after. I had gone to him proposing Civilian Oversight of Police. Police Liaison to Legislators Steven Spellman said the police order was to take me down for daring to propose such legislation and for getting mouthy in newspapers.

A Hartford Connecticut Narcotics Detective went after an organized crime heroin and cocaine dealer against his captain's wish. He was felony arrested in retaliation over a made up matter. His sons were abducted and beaten at Connecticut State Police headquarters. Police paid informant cash to kill one of his sons for making a police misconduct complaint. [video and story]

The two other people who I know proposed Civilian Oversight of Police were also attacked on their property by police informants, and only they were arrested. Don Christmas was arrested after being attacked by an Enfield, Connecticut, police officer's 14 year old prostitute girlfriend attacked him on his rental property. Policing has become military occupation. Civilians who connect the dots are the enemy. The occupation of us is to bleed us dry of money, of what we think is ours, to break up family, community, and to break our will. The OWS movement is a reaction to it. Hopefully not too late, since the criminals have been up to their dirty tricks internationally since the Pinkertons demanded huge sums of cash, so Lincoln would not be assassinated during his campaign for president.

With the rise of Pinkertons, the precursor to the CIA, NSA, and the KGB like police force in the US, there has been all out wars, the rise of the corporate state. A crackhead showed up on my property and and yelled at me, saying that I was fixing up my rental properties wrong and that I should sell them to him at a loss. I didn't know he had made a pact with police to be rewarded for his committing crimes and being a police tool. He was yelling and ranting like a lunatic. I told him to get off my property. He said I would have to sell my properties to him in time. It is the first I had ever seen that man. I later found out he slept with prostitutes and sold and used crack cocaine while being a Connecticut State Police informant according to his own admission. Informant with initials, "PC", was told he had first dibs on my property by police if he assaulted me, sexually harassed my then 14 year old daughter, and terrorized me out of Connecticut. PC an alcoholic drug addict was also promised help in getting a permit to carry concealed guns for his assaulting me, stalking me, and terrorizing me. I got prison for resisting being mugged on my own property, the police informant was given immunity for threatening my life, stalking me, threatening to cut my penis off with a knife, for assaulting me on my property, jumping me from behind in the dark, trying to rob me.

I got a year in prison for pepper spraying him to end the attack. Self-defense isn't legal in Connecticut.

Informant "PC" (aka Peter J. Coukos) got to own my properties (1-3 and 5-9 Church St., Stafford Springs, Connecticut 06076). All I had ever worked for, decades of work, hundreds of thousands of dollars earned and spent, all rewarded to a crackhead who trades drugs for sex with prostitutes. Years I spent fixing up boarded up properties, my retirement. I got prison, and my daughter hasn't called me "Daddy" in over ten years and has nothing to do with me because I lost everything and went to prison. My crime was proposing Civilian Oversight of Police legislation to elected officials. I now don't have a family. I don't have a future. This is the American Police State from my perspective. The American Dream is dead unless we the people fight back.

I don't buy new cars, I don't consume, and I pay little to no taxes. I don't consume and add to the economy, and you paid tax dollars to abuse me and to illegally confine me in prison. So, you were ripped off. The police and courts rip you off the same way everyday. Your neighbors are taken down everyday by these organized criminals. Will you chose to be silent until you are the target of their meat grinder?

Should wives, girlfriends, daughters be raped by police and fear retaliation for complaining? America is resembling the Police State that the former USSR was before it collapsed. I was there after the collapse and asked people about what happened to them and what were the signs beforehand. I saw the abortion that is the US Government on the streets of New Orleans with my own eyes after Hurricane Katrina hit there.

So, if not one official will lift his, or her finger, to remedy my situation, you live in the same America as me.

Top Secret America

PBS Documentary, "Top Secret America", full video found here. Officials are talking about torture, murder, illegal detention, war crimes etc. If there were ever war crimes trials where US officials are prosecuted for crimes against humanity this documentary would be a useful tool.

Terminator, Rise of the Police State

The American people are enemies to the offshore corporate and bankster operators of the US Government and US Military. No rules apply to them, and after we are sucked dry we are no longer of use, just a nuisance to be dealt with.

This craziness is not gong to stop until we the people force are hand to get honest policing and legitimate courts run by the people, not organized criminals. If US Attorney General Eric Holder and Barack Obama greenlighted, the ATF "Fast and Furious" program to get guns from American gun shops into the hands of Mexican drug gangs to commit wholesale murders to take out the 2nd Amendment, Holder and Obama are criminals and should be arrested. Cheney, Bush, and crew should also be arrested for their crimes against humanity. Jails should be for connected and powerful criminals, not just fathers who can't pay, not won't pay child support, and for those who use the CIA's products, heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

The military taking over major parts of the US for "exercises" is an extremely bad sign. All US taxpayers spending billions to make the NYPD and international policing, spying, and military organization is also pure lunacy. [story and link to CBS 60 Minutes video]

A 51St State For Armed Robotic Drones

Weaponized UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), also known as drones, have their own caucus in Congress, and the Pentagon's plan is to give them their own state as well.

Under this plan, 7 million acres (or 11,000 square miles) of land in the southeast corner of Colorado, and 60 million acres of air space (or 94,000 square miles) over Colorado and New Mexico would be given over to special forces testing and training in the use of remote-controlled flying murder machines. The full state of Colorado is itself 104,000 square miles. Rhode Island is 1,000 square miles. Virginia, where I live, is 43,000 square miles.

The U.S. military (including Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) is proceeding with this plan in violation of the public will, new state legislation on private property rights, an exceptionally strong federal court order, and a funding ban passed by the United States Congress, and in the absence of any approved Environmental Impact Statement. Public pressure has successfully put the law on the right side of this issue, and the military is disregarding the law.

I spoke with Jean Aguerre, whose organization "Not 1 More Acre" ( http://not1moreacre.net ) is leading the pushback against this madness. Jean told me she grew up, during the 1960s, on the vast grasslands of southeast Colorado, where the Comanche National Grasslands makes up part of a system of grasslands put in place to help the prairie recover from the dust bowl. The dust bowl, Aguerre says, was the worst environmental disaster in the United States until BP filled the Gulf of Mexico with oil. The dust bowl had been brought on by the government's policy of requiring homesteaders to plow the prairie. The recovery programs created large tracts of land, of 100,000 acres and more, owned by "generational ranchers," that is families that would hand the ranches off to their children.

Aguerre said she grew up on a ranch of incredible beauty and natural wealth, with a 165-million-year-old dinosaur track way and petroglyphs from 12,000 years back. Grasslands are the most threatened ecosystems in the world because they are so accessible, Aguerre says, and the only intact short grassland left in this country is the one being targeted for the "51st state."

Round One began in the 1980s. Fort Carson, an Army base in Colorado Springs, had been kept open after World War II and now began looking for more land. The people of the area were opposed. The U.S. Congressman representing the area agreed to oppose any landgrab. But Senator Gary Hart took the opposite position. As a result, during the early 1980s, the Army Corps of Engineers started telling ranchers to sell out or risk seeing their land condemned and taken from them.

The ranch next to Aguerre's is called Wine Glass Rourke. It was sold to a shill, as Aguerre describes the buyer. He ran the place into the ground with too many cattle, she says, and then sold it to the military, "And they were off and running!" With condemnations the military put together 250 thousand acres. Ranchers, along with their cattle, were moved off their own land by federal marshals. "We didn't know when we'd be next," Aguerre says of her own family.

Luckily for the people of Colorado and New Mexico, and all of us, Aguerre got involved in politics. She became a political director for Congressman Tim Werth who later became a U.S. senator. Aguerre took him to see the Wine Glass Rourke ranch and told him "Let's take it back." Werth dedicated his staff to the effort for three years, resulting in the transfer to the Forest Service of 17,000 key acres.

The Army used its new land less than twice a year for maneuvers, but caused horrible environmental damage whenever it did. That was the case for about 30 years, until the activity of recent years made everything that came before look sensitive and sustainable.

In the meantime, people like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld were theorizing the transformation of the U.S. military into a force for robotic warfare. Aguerre believes it was in 1996 that a decision was made that the military would need a robotic warfare center. Around 1999 the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement was created. This precedes the more specific Site Environmental Impact Statements. The U.S. public, just like the public of any foreign nation where new U.S. bases are being planned, was told nothing.

In 2006, Aguerre was working in Oregon when friends started asking her to come home and help because something big was happening. An Army land expansion map had been leaked that showed plans for taking over 6.9 million acres, the whole southeast corner of the state. Aguerre thought she would come home for two weeks but has never left. An Environmental Impact Statement for the site was about to be released, and Aguerre knew that meant the project was pretty far along. She formed organizations and found a lawyer in Colorado Springs named Steve Harris to help. The two of them, she says, were absolutely dedicated to NEPA and FOIA. NEPA is the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. FOIA is the Freedom of Information Act of 1966. "NEPA is intended to prevent our government taking our world apart piece by piece without our knowing it," explains Aguerre. [click here, more from source]

The Federal Reserve and the price of Beer

With more money in circulation, every American is taking a pay cut.

For those who shop Wal-Mart, the price of food is going to go up. The US Dollar is no worth less.

I am not saying whether I shopped recently for beer in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or Vermont. The price for a 12 pack of Natural Ice was $7.99 at Wal-Mart and only $6.99 at a Mom and Pop shop owned by two women. The woman at the counter said all beer prices are going up, and they price their beer, milk, and what are considered essentials below the Wal-Mart prices. Good for them.

Smart electric meters are used to know when you are home, or not, and report your use and patterns to authorities. More states are pushing for laws so citizens have to have keys to their houses in lock boxes outside, accessible to police and other officials so they have 24/7 access to your home when you are there, or not. Cell phone and internet providers illegally cooperate with illegal government domestic spying programs. Police are paying informants to file fast reports to facilitate arrests and false imprisonment, and beat up citizens to retaliate against them for making police misconduct complaints or because they are politically active.

Maybe 75%, or more, is spent on policing, rigged courts, the military, government, and mounting interest on the debts you never agreed to pay in the first place. The corruption is in your face. The government's security programs are not for you, it is for them. They don't want to be prosecuted, they don't want the people to connect the dots, and successfully rise up. Growing your own food is pretty much illegal, the government is going after small businesses, the self-employed, intact families, and homeowners. The ATF is supplying guns to Mexican Drug Gangs. The Government wants to end cash transactions between citizens. Do you get the picture?

The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. Throughout its existence, the group consisted of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. The band took its name from Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception the title of which was a reference to a William Blake quote: "When the doors of perception are cleansed, things will appear to man as they truly are...infinite." They were among the most controversial rock acts of the 1960s, due mostly to Morrison's wild, poetic lyrics and charismatic but unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death in 1971, the remaining members continued as a trio until finally disbanding in 1973.

"Strange Days" consists of songs that were written in 1965-1966 , but did not make it onto their debut album, such as "Moonlight Drive", which was one of the first songs written by Jim Morrison. The song was recorded in 1965 (demo) and 1966 (intended for their first album). In 1967 a final version was recorded and released on this album. Strange Days contains some of The Doors' most psychedelic songs. It includes songs such as "Strange Days", "People Are Strange", "Love Me Two Times" and "When the Music's Over".

Chossudovsky: War in Afghanistan: A Crime Against Humanity

The decade-long war waged by the US and its allies in Afghanistan does not seem to be coming to an end. With tremendous civilian casualties and a ruined economy and institutions, the justification for the war seems to be dubious and ill-considered.

The war against Afghanistan was an act of illegal aggression by the United States and NATO despite its being presented as a response to 9/11, believes Michel Chossudovsky, editor at the Centre for Research on Globalization.

However, "Afghanistan as a country was not behind the attack," he underlines.

The legacy of the war which started in 2001 is a wrecked economy and institutions, lack of public health and mass unemployment, he adds. Chossudovsky doubts that it is possible to plan a large-scale war in Central Asia in just four weeks.

"The war on Afghanistan was on the drawing board of the Pentagon. It was in advanced stages of planning before 9/11," he claims.

"And 9/11 provided the pretext and justification for waging a war on a sovereign country, an impoverished country in Central Asia," he says, labeling it as a fabricated pretext.

"This war still stands out as violation of international law and a crime against humanity," he claims.

On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan, General Stanley McChrystal, former commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan, has harshly criticized the US campaign in Afghanistan, claiming that allied forces are only "50 per cent of the way" towards achieving their goals.

The retired general said, "We didn't know enough and we still don't know enough. Most of us, me included, had a very superficial understanding of the situation and history, and we had a frighteningly simplistic view of recent history, the last 50 years."

According to Michel Chossudovsky, "the statement by General McChrystal is a cynical statement." He notes that it somehow suggests that this is a humanitarian operation to come to the rescue of the people of Afghanistan, while all the evidence demonstrates quite the opposite.

CIA Covert Wars in the Islamic World

John Stockwell, ex-CIA Station Chief in Angola in 1976, also worked for the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) under George Bush (Senior) spent 13 years in the agency. He testified before the Congress that during the Cold War era, over 6 million people have died in the CIA covert wars.

After the September 11 tragedy in the US homeland, although a number of Islamic countries such as Indonesia, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Pakistan and almost all the Gulf states joined the Bush anti-terrorism war, yet they became target of the CIA covert wars. In this respect, in words, President Bush repeatedly said that his ‘different war’, is not against the Muslim countries, but in practice, only Islamic countries were targeted under the pretext of terrorism or Al Qaeda which became a scapegoat of American secret designs which are being fulfilled by the clandestine techniques of CIA.

CIA agents are present in all the Islamic countries, implementing various tactics of psychological warfare. Its operations are conducted with great professional skill which include the establishment of a huge network inside the target country. It has used propaganda, political dissent, ethnic divisions, sectarian violence, economic backwardness and criminal elements to foment subversion to weaken the related Muslim states in conssonance with American ambitions. However, application of these nefarios designs vary from country to country as CIA incursion in these countries prove.

Assassination of political figures and innocent persons in the Islamic countries is the key aim of this agency. In this connection, Ramzi Yousaf who was well-aware of the activities of the American and Israeli secret agencies had stated in the US court in 1997, “You are butchers, liars, and hypocrites. You keep on talking about terrorism to the media, but behind closed doors you support terrorism”.

Besides, disinformation is also one of the tactics of this rogue intelligence agency. For instance, before the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a deliberate disinformation campaign was launched by the CIA all over the world that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs). In that respect, a self-fabricated report was prepared about Iraq. Afterwards, Iraq was attacked and occupied by the Anglo-American forces, but no WMDs were found. In fact, main aim of Washington was to occupy the oil resouces of that country.

While confirming US Central Intelligence Agency’s expanding operations, Jeremy Scahill’s report, published in a daily revealed that since the 2006 US-led Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, the CIA maintains a growing security complex in the country, located right behind Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport. The complex contains over a dozen buildings as well as several metal hangars, which house CIA aircraft. Now a new report by United Press International claims that the clandestine American campaign in the horn of Africa “appears to be growing daily”, and that the CIA complex contains a prison for the suspected militants who are routinely interrogated and tortured by the members of a Mogadishu-based CIA team. Scahill also discloses that the growing CIA presence there is part of a wider expansion of America’s campaign in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Indonesia, Somalia etc. For this purpose, the Somali government is using American financial aid to hire European private security firms. The mission there is also to train Kenyan and Ugandan troops for special operations including sabotage and assassinations.

Since 9/11, under the pretext of terrorism, American CIA in collusion with Indian RAW and Israeli Mossad tortured the Muslims in Guantanamo Bay, Abu Graid and other cells through brutal tactics which killed majority of the innocent civilians.

As regards the CIA role to exploit the Iranian election protests in 2009, its programme involved playing the media as well as having secret agents on the ground in Iran. In this regard, in May 2007, ABC News reported that the CIA had received secret presidential (Bush) approval to mount a covert “black” operation to destabilise Iranian government.

Starting from Iran, protests and armd clashes inspired by the CIA resulted in revolt in Tunisia, expanding uprising and demonstrations to Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Yemen, Lebanon, Bahrain, Syria and Libya.

On May 20, 2011, The Guardian indicated, “US President Obama placed Washington on the side of popular uprisings not only in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya but also in Syria and Bahrain—a longtime American ally.” It wrote, “President unveils shift in US policy towards Arab countries—tells Syria’s Assad to get out of way.” On March 31, 2011, the Guardian revealed that the President Obama had signed a secret order authorising covert help to arm Lybian rebels. The New York Times reported that the CIA had inserted secret agents to gather intelligence, identifying targets for airstrikes inside Libya.

On March 2, 2011, Yemen’s President Saleh, describing the role of CIA and Israeli Mossad, claimed, “I am going to reveal a secret…there is an operations room in Tel Aviv run by the White House with the aim of destabilising the Arab world. Saleh also said that opposition figures meet regularly with the US ambassador in Sanaa.

In its cables, Wikileaks have also disclosed that the CIA organized demonstrations in Syria and other Middle East countries.

However, in line with the Obama’s strategy, CIA agents succeeded in ousting Tunisian President Ben Ali, Egyptian Mubarak (a close ally of the US) and Lybian President Gaddafi.

Nevertheless, some latest resources suggest that under the pretext of Al Qaeda, the Obama administration is assembling a constellation of secret drone bases for CIA in the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula as part of a newly aggressive campaign to attack Al Qaeda affiliates in Somalia and Yemen.

Question also arises as what the US will gain by waging its covert wars in these Islamic countries? It is notable that the politics places a big role in the unrest in the Middle East, while economic concerns are equally important. In these terms, US seeks to create instability in the Middle East and the Muslim North African countries in order to protect the interests of Israel. And it wants to control the oil fields of the Arab countries. While on the other side, despite CIA support to violent protests in these countries, resentment is running high against America and Israel. For the purpose, America has planned a CIA covert war against Pakistan, while the US, India and Israel are already assisting the insurgents and their paid-agents with money and weapons.

Recently, tension increased in Pak-US relations when American retiring top military officer Mike Mullen accused that Pakistan is waging a ‘proxy war’ in Afghanistan with the assistance of country’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), alleging for a recent assault on the US embassy in Kabul. Mullen’s irresponsible statement was also repeated by the other US high officials who issued stern warning about Islamabad’s failure to crack down on the Haqqani network, and raised the possibility of US unilateral action in North Waziristan. Meanwhile, the US-backed intermittent attacks by the armed militants who infiltrated in Pakistan from Afghanistan have continued.

Nonetheless, Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, while rejecting US allegations and pressure, refused to launch military operation in North Waziristan—and made it clear that in future, Islamabad will deal with Washington on equal basis.

Under the pretext of cross-border terrorism and Haqqani group, US could intensify drone attacks on North Waziristan. Besides, as part of its covert war, America will also shift Afghan war to Pakistan after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

No doubt, CIA has been waging covert wars in the Islamic World so as to fulfill American secret designs including those of India and Israel.

The Anwar al Awlaki killing in Yemen over the weekend raises Constitutional questions according to the N.Y. Times original report and discussed yesterday on Talk of the Nation/NPR. I'm in agreement with critics of the killing. It clearly shows the govt. denies due-process rights to those it designates as criminals or "enemy combatants", whether they are in fact criminals or combatants. The designation itself is key, and thusly gives agents for the govt. permission to carry out their dirty deeds.

Designants are denied the right to contest the designation with evidence and counter arguments.

It's abominable practice and a serious mistake by the Obama administration. It may cost him more than anything he has done to date, although his mistakes and missteps thus far will be having a cumulative effect. Liberals, particularly liberals educated at some of our most elite colleges and universities, are adept at masquerading their hypocrisies with respect to rights and due process. A man spewing forth hatred against the U.S. is designated an enemy combatant and targeted for extrajudicial death sentence. Meanwhile, the man may have had weapons no more lethal than pen and keyboard.

Targeting and "entrapment" are both abominable practices which our govt. uses routinely. The U.S. of A. was not founded on principles of targeting and entrapment. Quite the contrary!

In Connecticut, the designation "criminal" automatically empowers the state to deny citizen-residents Constitutional rights and due process without proper review or accountability. CT is a rogue state operating outside of normative best practices nationwide.

The Amanda Knox acquital is welcome news, and puts the spotlight on how incompetent and ineffective our own judicial review process is. Now how does Amanda get her four years spent in prison back? How is she going to be made whole?

P.S., Amanda bears a striking resemblance to my own daughter Ashley. That's meant as a compliment, of course. Congratulations Amanda for maintaining your innocence and speaking truth to power.

Get in the way of the revenue collection and asset confiscation of the lawyer, police, prosecutor, and judge mafia, and you get prison, your family broken up, and financial and every aspect of your life ruined.

Police need to keep drug dealing and crime at constant, or increasing levels to keep political power, their inflated numbers, and to get more, and more of your tax dollars to spy on you, take your cash, assets, and to kidnap your children to confine in state facilities to suck up more tax dollars, or adopt out to the highest bidder. Police and racketeers of the courts protect and serve the state and each other, not you.

So, in America, start a business and the Town Hall organized criminals want to have you arrested and jailed. Buy a house, they want to steal it. Have children, they want to kidnap them, save for retirement, and they steal that too. Complain, get jail.

The only way to fix the Police State is to abolish judges to have grand juries made up of average people for terms of 4 years, once. Investigations into public corruption, police, officials, and blood sucking lawyers should be done through grand juries using private investigators not tainted by police and the current rigged court system. The US President on down would then be accountable to the same laws the rest of us are, along with the same punishments. Wouldn't that be a good turn for America?

City officials attempted to contact the local Clear Channel office by telephone to spread warnings of the danger using its radio stations, but it was several critical hours before the station manager was finally reached at his home. In the meantime, 9-1-1 operators were advising panicked callers to tune to KCJB-AM for emergency instructions, but the station was not broadcasting any such information.

Most upsetting, Crowley said, was the inclusion of "all songs by Rage Against the Machine" on the list.

I wanted to live the American Dream. I worked, paid taxes, built a contracting business, started a family, and bought boarded up rental properties in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. I didn't think this type of "scary" activity would land me on a target list to be arrested on sight for Connecticut State Police officers to lie and perjure themselves me into prison.

I was then deprived of sleep in a Hartford County prison having to sleep with hundreds of drunks and drug addicts in a prison cafeteria hid from the feds during the day, locked in prison showers and bathrooms, who were investigating prison overcrowding and inhumane conditions. At night there were only 2 seatless toilets and no toilet paper for hundreds of us. I was then kicked out of that prison by Captain Murphy saying he didn't allow scumbags in his prison for trying to get the information to the Hartford Courant. I was later kicked out of Connecticut upon my release from prison.

My ankles were kicked apart daily by guard where I had to drop my pants and raise up my testicles at Hartford County Prison. My crime was not being okay with State Police stealing property, running prostitutes and hard drugs using "cut-outs" called police informants. It is time for the rest of America that these offshore corporate bankster lackeys want to give all Americans what they gave me and all others who dare speak the truth. Look what the CIA did for corporations in South America. The CIA and their corporate thugs are treating Americans, and the world, like they used to treat honorable, average and business people in the continent of South America.

Americans are ready for payback. Prisoners who have been wrongly imprisoned by corporate drug running bankster criminals have already connected the dots.

Divorced men have a fear of women who they believe have collected their loot from divorces at the expense of the working man, right or wrong.

The Harley Chick has a certain appeal to men. Divorced men like the idea of a woman who will pack light, as if to be ready to take a long trip on a Harley Davidson motorcycle whether, or not, the divorced man rides in the wind. The Harley Chick is the type of woman to display her assets, and is assumed to have a higher libido than her domestic pirate cousin.

Most men, don't like the little ankle biting dog, too often flea and tick infested. Most men don't like a high maintenance woman who spends money like water. Most men don't want to fight off a little dog, risking Lyme Disease, just for a little booty.

Divorced men often have little money, have had to get rid of the majority of their possessions, and have had to live in less than desirable conditions. Women who have to be wined and dined, and are eager to get the latest furniture, furnishings, and improve her nest for herself at a man's expense, are too often, not attractive at all to a divorced father.

Packing light, and being ready to go, is an attractive asset in today's economy ...

In a few days it will be the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001. How well has the US government's official account of the event held up over the decade?

Not very well. The chairman, vice chairman, and senior legal counsel of the 9/11 Commission wrote books partially disassociating themselves from the commission's report. They said that the Bush administration put obstacles in their path, that information was withheld from them, that President Bush agreed to testify only if he was chaperoned by Vice President Cheney and neither were put under oath, that Pentagon and FAA officials lied to the commission and that the commission considered referring the false testimony for investigation for obstruction of justice.

In their book, the chairman and vice chairman, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, wrote that the 9/11 Commission was "set up to fail." Senior counsel John Farmer, Jr., wrote
that the US government made "a decision not to tell the truth about what happened," and that the NORAD "tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public." Kean said, "We to this day don't know why NORAD told us what they told us, it was just so far from the truth."

Most of the questions from the 9/11 families were not answered. Important witnesses were not called. The commission only heard from those who supported the government's account. The commission was a controlled political operation, not an investigation of events and evidence. Its membership consisted of former politicians. No knowledgeable experts were appointed to the commission.

One member of the 9/11 Commission, former Senator Max Cleland, responded to the constraints placed on the commission by the White House: "If this decision stands, I, as a member of the commission, cannot look any American in the eye, especially family members of victims, and say the commission had full access. This investigation is now compromised." Cleland resigned rather than have his integrity compromised.

To be clear, neither Cleland nor members of the commission suggested that 9/11 was an inside job to advance a war agenda. Nevertheless, neither Congress nor the media wondered, at least not out loud, why President Bush was unwilling to appear before the commission under oath or without Cheney, why Pentagon and FAA officials lied to the commission or, if the officials did not lie, why the commission believed they lied, or why the White House resisted for so long any kind of commission being formed, even one under its control.

One would think that if a handful of Arabs managed to outwit not merely the CIA and FBI but all 16 US intelligence agencies, all intelligence agencies of our allies including Mossad, the National Security Council, the State Department, NORAD, airport security four times on one morning, air traffic control, etc., the President, Congress, and the media would be demanding to know how such an improbable event could occur. Instead, the White House put up a wall of resistance to finding out, and Congress and the media showed little interest.

During the decade that has passed, numerous 9/11 Truth organizations have formed.
There are Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Scholars for 9/11 Truth, Remember Building 7.org, and a New York group which includes 9/11 families. These groups call for a real investigation.

Instead, the White House put up a wall of resistance to finding out, and Congress and the media showed little interest.

During the decade that has passed, numerous 9/11 Truth organizations have formed. There are Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Scholars for 9/11 Truth, Remember Building 7.org, and a New York group which includes 9/11 families. These groups call for a real investigation.

David Ray Griffen has written 10 carefully researched books documenting problems in the government's account. Scientists have pointed out that the government has no explanation for the molten steel. NIST has been forced to admit that WTC 7 was in free fall for part of its descent, and a scientific team led by a professor of nano-chemistry at the University of Copenhagen has reported finding nano-thermite in the dust from the buildings.

Larry Silverstein, who had the lease on the World Trade Center buildings, said in a PBS broadcast that the decision was made "to pull" Building 7 late in the afternoon of 9/11. Chief fire marshals have said that no forensic investigation was made of the buildings' destruction and that the absence of investigation was a violation of law.

Some efforts have been made to explain away some of the evidence that is contrary to the official account, but most of the contrary evidence is simply ignored. The fact remains that the skepticism of a large number of knowledgeable experts has had no effect on the government's position other than a member of the Obama administration suggesting that the government infiltrate the 9/11 truth organizations in order to discredit them.

The practice has been to brand experts not convinced by the government's case "conspiracy theorists." But of course the government's own theory is a conspiracy theory, an even less likely one once a person realizes its full implication of intelligence and operational failures. The implied failures are extraordinarily large; yet, no one was ever held accountable.

Moreover, what do 1,500 architects and engineers have to gain from being ridiculed as conspiracy theorists? They certainly will never receive another government contract, and many surely lost business as a result of their "anti-American" stance. Their competitors must have made hay out of their "unpatriotic doubts." Indeed, my reward for reporting on how matters stand a decade after the event will be mail telling me that as I hate America so much I should move to Cuba.

Scientists have even less incentive to express any doubts, which probably explains why there are not 1,500 Physicists for 9/11 Truth. Few physicists have careers independent of government grants or contracts. It was a high school physics teacher who forced NIST to abandon its account of Building 7's demise. Physicist Stephen Jones, who first reported finding evidence of explosives, had his tenure bought out by BYU, which no doubt found itself under government pressure.

We can explain away contrary evidence as coincidences and mistakes and conclude that only the government got it all correct, the same government that got everything else wrong.

In fact, the government has not explained anything. The NIST report is merely a simulation of what might have caused the towers to fail if NIST's assumptions programed into the computer model are correct. But NIST supplies no evidence that its assumptions are correct.

Building 7 was not mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report, and many Americans are still unaware that three buildings came down on 9/11.

Let me be clear about my point. I am not saying that some black op group in the neoconservative Bush administration blew up the buildings in order to advance the neoconservative agenda of war in the Middle East. If there is evidence of a coverup, it could be the government covering up its incompetence and not its complicity in the event. Even if there were definite proof of government complicity, it is uncertain that Americans could accept it. Architects, engineers, and scientists live in a fact-based community, but for most people facts are no match for emotions.

My point is how un-inquisitive the executive branch, including the security agencies, Congress, the media, and much of the population are about the defining event of our time.

There is no doubt that 9/11 is the determinant event. It has led to a decade of ever expanding wars, to the shredding of the Constitution, and to a police state. On August 22 Justin Raimondo reported that he and his website, Antiwar.com, are being monitored by the FBI's Electronic Communication Analysis Unit to determine if Antiwar.com is "a threat to National Security" working "on behalf of a foreign power."

Francis A. Boyle, an internationally known professor and attorney of international law, has reported that when he refused a joint FBI-CIA request to violate the attorney/client privilege and become an informant on his Arab-American clients, he was placed on the US government's terrorist watch list.

Boyle has been critical of the US government's approach to the Muslim world, but Raimondo has never raised, nor permitted any contributor to raise, any suspicion about US government complicity in 9/11. Raimondo merely opposes war, and that is enough for the FBI to conclude that he needs watching as a possible threat to national security.

The US government's account of 9/11 is the foundation of the open-ended wars that are exhausting America's resources and destroying its reputation, and it is the foundation of the domestic police state that ultimately will shut down all opposition to the wars. Americans are bound to the story of the 9/11 Muslim terrorist attack, because it is what justifies the slaughter of civilian populations in several Muslim countries, and it justifies a domestic police state as the only means of securing safety from terrorists, who already have morphed into "domestic extremists" such as environmentalists, animal rights groups, and antiwar activists.

Today Americans are unsafe, not because of terrorists and domestic extremists, but because they have lost their civil liberties and have no protection from unaccountable government power. One would think that how this came about would be worthy of public debate and congressional hearings.

Ray, great piece. All Americans should be outraged that 58 cents of every dollar goes to the Pentagon. We serve the needs of the government. Our money isn't ours, our blood isn't ours, we really own nothing if it is by permission, and our children can be taken and used by "important people" in government at anytime for any excuse. We can be used like farm animals, harvested like crops. How did we all let it get this bad?

Pay taxes and get nothing but abuse and tyranny in return. I don't want to pay for all out wars of aggression and a police state. The EPA, OSHA, FDA etc have been given money to target, fine, and put out of business the self-employed and small business which are competition for the organized crime corporate banksters. The bottom line is the key, and no morality, rule of law, or common decency comes into play when you are just about efficiency of business, collecting money, and propping up and enriching the elite insiders at the expense of everyone else. The self-employed and local small business owners know they drink the water they swim in.

Anyone who knows the truth and tells others can be toasted.

Obama on the Backs of the Poor

What are we to make of the Obama-brokered deal on debt and spending? It was certainly what the Germans call eine schwere Geburt (a difficult birth); it was one of the few times I would have favored abortion.

I am reminded of a sermon that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave during the turbulent 1950s, in which he peered into the future and issued a prescient warning:

"A nation or a civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on an installment plan."

In promoting and then signing the so-called "deficit reduction" legislation, President Barack Obama has definitively confirmed that he stands in the ranks of those spiritual-death-dealing, "soft-minded" men about whom Dr. King warned so ominously.

In my view, even dyed-in-the-wool Obama supporters will now have to let the scales fall from their eyes. The new one-sided "compromise" so clearly promotes the interests of the wealthy over those of the poor that, in Biblical terms, it can readily be seen as a Goddamned deal.

I want to share some thoughts with those among us -- believers and non-believers alike -- who shudder at the prospect of our children and children's children inheriting a country far different from the one promised by the American Dream, a nation approaching "spiritual death."

If you are not greatly concerned with the growing disparity between the rich and poor in this country, take another minute to ponder another warning from Dr. King in the same sermon:

The United States Government and its presstitute media have wasted time and energy creating hysteria over a non-existent "debt ceiling crisis." After reading the "news" in the Ministry of Propaganda and witnessing the stupidity of the US government, the rest of the world is struck dumbfounded by the immaturity of the "world's only superpower."

What kind of superpower is it, the world wonders, that is willing to go to the eleventh hour to convince the world, which holds its banking reserves in US Treasury debt, that the US government will default on the debt?

Every country in the world now worries about the judgment and sanity of the country with the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.

This is the achievement of the Republicans, who took an ordinary commonplace increase in the debt-ceiling limit, an event that has occurred routinely many times over the course of my life, and turned it into a crisis threatening the world financial system.

To be clear, there was never any risk whatsoever of US default, as President Obama has power established by President George W. Bush's Presidential Directive 51 to declare default a National Emergency and to set aside the debt-ceiling limit and Congress' power of the purse, and to continue to issue the debt necessary to fund the US government and its wars.

That the American press ever took this highly-hyped "crisis" seriously merely demonstrates their prostitute status.

The US public debt is rising too rapidly against US GDP, although it is still below the percentages during World War II. The problem that is ignored by the idiots in Washington and the presstitutes is that the debt is rising relative to the economy because the economy is not rising, but war expenditures are.

Why is the economy not rising?

It is not rising, because it has been off-shored. What formerly was US GDP produced in Gary, Indiana, St. Louis, Detroit, Silicon Valley, and other US locations is now GDP for China, India, Indonesia and other countries where manufacturing labor and professional services can be hired below US rates.

What happens with off-shoring? The answer is clear. US GDP, consumer income, career opportunities, and tax base leave the country. Corporate profits and bonuses rise due to the lower labor costs.

Who is this good for?

The answer is that it is only good for Wall Street, corporate shareholders, and corporate management. Their incomes go up, and the GDP goes down along with the employment opportunities of Americans and the tax base for government.

The other destroyer of American economic prospects was the deregulation of the financial sector. Economists theorized that markets were self-regulating and created the illusion that greed was never a problem. This was music and dollars to Wall Street's ears. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and the Wall Street-owned US Treasury jumped on board. Those, who like Brooksley Born, were empowered by US law to regulate derivatives, were driven out of office by the Federal Reserve Chairman, the US Treasury Secretary, and the Securities and Exchange Chairman.

Financial institutions freed from Glass-Steagall, freed from capital requirements, and freed from oversight, immediately took debt leverage on highly unrealistic bets to amazing heights. When the schemes collapsed, the Federal Reserve lent US and foreign banks $16.1 trillion dollars, a sum larger than the US national debt and larger than the US GDP.

Where did the Federal Reserve get $16.1 trillion to lend? The Fed created it out of thin air with a stroke of a computer entry.

While the Federal Reserve created $16.1 trillion in new loans for private banks, the bailed out banks bulldoze the foreclosed homes of the evicted Americans.

So in America, the light unto the world, American citizens are thrown out of their homes in order that banks can bulldoze their homes.

Only in America does this makes sense.

And it is not only Americans who are being made homeless by US policies. Afghans, Pakistanis, Iraqis, Yemenis, Somali, Libyans are also consigned to homelessness by American policy. Moreover, America's wars against these peoples, together with the supporting military/security budget, account for 75% of the US budget deficit. Indeed, the cost of these wars exceed the planned future budget savings from the debt limit deal.

In other words, the cost of the wars that make millions of foreigners homeless use up revenues that the federal government could have used to keep Americans in their homes and teachers in the schools. As much as many Republicans profess to be concerned about the US public debt, Republicans were not sufficiently concerned to address their issue by cutting back the $1.2 trillion military-security budget or by raising the low tax rates on the mega-rich.

Look at these July 30 headlines, just two days prior to the default deadline, from the online group, Stop NATO:

What in the world is a country facing bankruptcy and default doing conducting military exercises in Mongolia and Central Asia? What is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, designed to counter a Soviet thrust into Western Europe, doing in Mongolia?

Why are these military expenditures necessary, but not expenditures to keep America's homeless population from rising while homes are destroyed?

Why do not the Republicans listen when mega-billionaire Warren Buffet says that the tax rate on his massive income is lower than the tax rate on his secretary's income?

The answer is that the Republicans have an agenda: War. And Republicans want to fund this war, not by taxing high incomes but by cutting support programs for the down and out.

To cut to the chase: Even if all the cuts actually happen, the weakening economy will result in new deficit projections that will wipe out the expected savings from the debt limit agreement.

What then will the government do?

Until US policymakers comprehend that the economy has been moved offshore and take steps to bring it home, there will be no solution to America's debt problem or to its unemployment problem.

US debt jeopardizes the world economy

Ex-astronaut Lisa Nowak forced out of Navy

ORLANDO, Florida (AP) — A former astronaut banished from NASA after she confronted a romantic rival in a bizarre episode is being expelled from the Navy, officials said Thursday.

Capt. Lisa Nowak will retire with an "other than honorable" discharge and her pay grade will be knocked down one rank, Assistant Secretary of Navy Juan Garcia said in a statement.

Nowak's conduct "fell well short" of what is expected of Navy officers and she "demonstrated a complete disregard for the well-being of a fellow service member," Garcia said.

Nowak was accused of confronting Colleen Shipman in the parking lot of the Orlando International Airport in February 2007 after driving from Houston.

Nowak had diapers in the car, but Nowak disputed that she wore the diapers. Shipman, an Air Force captain, had begun dating Nowak's love interest, former space shuttle pilot Bill Oefelein.

Police say Nowak sprayed pepper spray into Shipman's car. Nowak's attorney says the pepper spray never reached Shipman.

The NFL and 9/11

The statue of the assassinated Pat Tillman outside University of Phoenix Stadium is a symbol of the merging of the myth of 9/11, glorification of war and the NFL.

Of course there will be an NFL season. There was never any doubt that the big diversion of sport would not go on. Especially since the season will begin on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. There would have been government intervention, perhaps at gunpoint, to make sure the season started on time. The opportunity to reinforce the official story of 9/11 to millions of people through tributes, flyovers and moments of silence could not slip away.
