KILLINGLY, Conn. -- The chief of the South Killingly Fire Department is among six people facing charges after drug raids this week in Killingly, Plainfield and Canterbury, state police said.

Fire Chief William Auclair, 42, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a raid Wednesday at his Killingly home, police said.

Officers seized six grams of marijuana, three grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a scale and a shotgun, police said. Another occupant of the house, 51-year-old Arthur Nason, also was arrested and faces the same charges as Auclair, police said.

Auclair is scheduled to appear Jan. 24 in Danielson Superior Court.
