Close a Fire Department because the Chief won't cooperate with Public Corruption?

 If memory serves me correctly:

There were 3 Fire Departments in Stafford Springs, Connecticut up until about the year 2000.

The first Department was #1 and was downtown. It had the most, and longest history. Ed Grant was the Fire Chief. Ed let me know that he was offered money to help ruin me, so that my assets and property could be divided up between corrupt "important" people in town.

The courts, police, Town Hall, and other officials were all poised to help out. Stafford Springs, Connecticut, Fire Department #1 might have been disbanded, and eliminated due to Ed Grant's telling me about what was to happen to me to ruin my life, and take possession of my property due to my big mouth over police misconduct, public, and judicial corruption.

Police, lawyers, town officials, and local citizens were all threatening me to pay them money for me to be able to keep in touch with my only daughter, keep my contracting business, and not have false accusations lead to my going to prison, losing everything. It was beyond ridiculous.

SELECTMEN FAULT BOARD COLLEAGUE

THE HARTFORD COURANT

March 17, 2000

Selectman Allen Bacchiochi was wrong to have discussed a lawsuit against the town with the lawyer representing the plaintiff, the town's other two selectmen said Thursday.

First Selectman John E. Julian and Selectman Gordon J. Frassinelli Jr. said it was inappropriate for Bacchiochi to talk about the Stafford Springs Volunteer Fire Department case with the lawyer representing Fire Chief Edward Grant. At a public hearing Wednesday night, Bacchiochi said lawyer Timothy Brignole had spoken to him about the potential cost to the town of closing the Stafford Springs department.

Grant is suing the town over the selectmen's September decision to suspend the department because of safety concerns and continuing conflict.

"When you're in a lawsuit, you don't talk to the other side's lawyer," Frassinelli said at a special selectmen's meeting Thursday morning.

"What you might say to him could cost the town thousands of dollars," Julian said. "You're a town official now."

Bacchiochi said he spoke to Brignole to get information about the possible costs of closing the department. That information, Bacchiochi said, could affect how the board of finance deals with town budgets. Julian has said the town will incur no cost if the fire company shuts down.

"I don't see anything wrong with it," Bacchiochi said of his conversation with Brignole.

"You haven't been here long enough," Julian retorted, noting that Brignole's analysis of the situation would hardly be objective.

In a rapid exchange at the end of the meeting, Frassinelli said Bacchiochi is not considering the effect his actions could have on taxpayers.

"It's not going to hurt the taxpayers," Bacchiochi said.

"It will if we lose," Frassinelli replied.

Added Julian, "They're playing you like a musical instrument."

Bacchiochi disagreed.

"I don't think they are," he said.

Brignole could not be reached for comment.
