Corporations distributed copyright infringement software to takeover Internet?

Is the US Government telling other countries it has to turn over citizens who linked on blogs to sites that may have had file sharing on them? If you link to a website, unknowingly that may have copyrighted materials on it without written permission should you be labeled a felon and serve 5, or so, years in prison? Should the US invade other countries to put their citizens in prison for the same offenses?

Why should corporations see to it citizens are punished for activities they encouraged? Why should corporations be able to bribe politicians with millions so you go to prison as a felon?
